Talk-A-Phone offers blue light towers with high-efficiency LED area lighting
Recognizing that many security deployments are often compromised with inadequate lighting and poorly coordinated with CCTV cameras, Talk-A-Phone has enhanced its blue light towers with an integrated high-efficiency LED area lighting solution.
The new product (model ETP-MT/R-BLP) features a photo-metrically optimized LED lighting array that covers the area surrounding the blue light tower.
The new LED lighting array seamlessly integrates with video surveillance platforms, transforming the total solution from a passive system that must be constantly monitored to a system of active deterrence.
Emergency calls and optional motion detection (via the video surveillance system) can trigger actions such as lights brightening or flashing, sirens, and notification via email or phone call.
The combined solution offers up to 70% energy savings over legacy lighting solutions and takes a proactive stance in deterring crime.

Exacq’s IP Video Surveillance Systems Link to Talk-A-Phone's Emergency Phones
Tue, 2013-03-05 10:00 — Talk-A-PhoneNILES, ILLINOIS (March 5, 2013) – Talk-A-Phone announces integration of the VOIP-500 Series emergency phone with the exacqVision VMS (Video Management System) manufactured by Exacq Technologies. In the event of a distress call, the Talk A Phone VOIP-500 Series emergency phone sends an event via standard ASCII output over the network to the exacqVision system.

“Converging video surveillance and emergency communication solutions brings tremendous benefits to our shared client base”, said Samuel Shanes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Talk-A-Phone. “We are very pleased that Exacq Technologies has jointed our growing list of technology partners.”
Hillsborough Community College Security Upgrade Featured in Security Products Magazine
Mon, 2013-01-28 10:00 — Talk-A-Phone
In recent years, colleges across the country have upgraded and improved the way they monitor, assess, and respond to security incidents on campus. Unfortunately for many departments around the country, the recent economic downturn has led to slashing of budgets and personnel. This has posed a serious challenge to college police and security departments. As a result, campuses now have to rely on improved infrastructure and tools in order to police their respective populations more efficiently.
Hillsborough Community College, located in Hillsborough County, Florida, has been at the forefront of adapting their security infrastructure and police force to unfortunate budgetary cuts and personnel limitations. In order to overcome these constraints and properly police their 48,000-student enrollment, Hillsborough turned to Talk-A-Phone Company.
Talk-A-Phone presented Victor Clime, Chief of Public Safety for Hillsborough Community College, with emergency phone towers that incorporated emergency communication, mass notification, camera surveillance, and access control capabilities.
